https://ajroach42.com/a-modern-office-with-vintage-hardware/
I’ve been toying with the idea of a building a modern office around 8 and 16 bit microcomputers from the 1980s and early 90s. This is an idea that I dig up every few months and play with for a few hours before discarding it because it’s impractical and expensive. This is a description of my current version of this idea, and how it would work in practice.

https://empiezaen2023.wordpress.com/2024/09/02/71-el-poder-de-la-palabra-escrita/

Minutes to Midnight - Nostalgia
https://minutestomidnight.co.uk/blog/nostalgia/
Maybe it's just nostalgia, but I have a strong feeling that a series of interconnected bad decisions are responsible for something that has turned almost everything to a worse version of itself.

Be Your Own Netflix: a "Why To" on running a personal streaming server – ~ajroach42.com – I'm Andrew. I write about the past and future of tech, music, media, culture, art, and activism. This is my blog.
https://ajroach42.com/be-your-own-netflix-a-why-to-on-running-a-personal-streaming-server/
This is a post about running your own streaming media server, and why you might want to do that. I will discuss some surface-level strategies for how you might go about it, and how you might source media to fill it with, but this is not a step-by-step guide.
